Environmentalist Women Confiscated the Environment

With the 2005 Environment Law, the executive women, who have been working with municipalities all over Turkey for 13 years, to separate garbage and recycle packaging waste, came together and decided to act jointly.

Women gathered under the leadership of Aynur Acar, former Director of Marmara Union of Municipalities Environmental Management Center, to organize trainings, seminars and conferences together in order to spread public awareness on “The Importance of Waste Management and Recycling”, to recycle wastes with economic value and to protect the country’s resources. They were united under the TÜÇEM Platform.

In the platform where women who are experts and managers in all environmental and waste management issues gather, the following names are included:

– Nihal Sözbir Karakuş (DEHA Biodizel General Manager),
– Rahşan Bukni Ulus (ULUS Environment Consulting General Manager) Director),
– Neslihan Boyacılar (TAP General Secretary),
– Eylem Öztürk (ÖZANCAM General Manager),
– Elif Güray Kayaduman (ONUR Plastic Recycling Director),
– Elif Kara (AGID Association Official),
– Mine Göknar (TURMEPA Deputy General Manager) ),
– Feray Polat (General Manager of BIOGAZ Information Center),
– Esra Canpolat (Founder of SEHAD).
